29 November 2007 The State Investigation and Protection Agency has arrested Rade Veselinovic, who is considered to have committed war crimes on the territory of Hadzici.
Rade Veselinovic (born in 1944), suspected to have committed war crimes against civilians on the territory of Hadzici municipality, has been arrested by the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).
Veselinovic was arrested in Podgrab, in Pale municipality, on the basis of an arrest warrant issued by the Prosecution of BiH.
After the arrest, he was handed over to a competent prosecutor with the War Crimes Chamber, who will examine him. As indicated in the announcement issued by the state prosecution, the competent prosecutor will decide on the potential filing of a custody motion for Veselinovic with the Court of BiH within the next 24 hours.
Veselinovic, a former member of the Serbian armed forces, is suspected of having committed crimes against Bosniak civilians.
At the same time, he is the first person arrested by the Prosecution of BiH who is considered to have committed war crimes on the territory of Hadzici.
