19 March 2010 On Tuesday, March 23, 2010 the State Prosecution is due to examine first witnesses at the trial of Cerim Novalic, a former member of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who is charged with the rape of one woman in Konjic.
Cerim Novalic is charged with having come, together with an unidentified soldier, to a house in Dzepa village, Konjic municipality in September 1992 and raped a Serb woman, "while threatening her by saying he would kill her if she screamed".
Soniboj Skiljevic, who is charged, together with Radoje Lalovic, with crimes committed in Butmir Penal and Correctional Facility in Kula, near Sarajevo, is due to continue testifying for his Defence on March 24 and 25, 2010.
On Wednesday, March 24 Enes Handzic is due to testify before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Handzic, Nisvet Gasal, Musajb Kukavica and Senad Dautovic are charged with crimes committed against Bosnian Croats from Bugojno during 1993 and 1994. The same crimes are charged upon Alija Osmic, whose trial is due to continue on March 25.
Next week two trials are due to continue in the cases of former policemen from Prijedor, who are charged with crimes committed at Koricanske stijene, where about 200 male civilians were shot on August 21, 1992. On Monday, March 22 and Tuesday, March 23 Zoran Babic, Milorad Radakovic, Milorad Skrbic, Zeljko Stojnic and Dusan Jankovic are due to appear before Court.
The trial of Sasa Zecevic, Radoslav Knezevic, Petar Civcic, Branko Topola and Marinko Ljepoja is due to continue on Thursday, March 25.
The trial of Vinko Kondic, Bosko Lukic and Marko Adamovic, who are charged with a number of crimes committed against Bosniaks and Bosnian Croats in the Kljuc area in 1991 and 1992, is due to continue on March 22 and 24.
The Defence of Gojko Klickovic, who is charged, together with Mladen Drljaca and Jovan Ostojic, with crimes committed in Bosanska Krupa in 1992, is due to continue presenting evidence by examining witnesses on March 23 and 24.
On Tuesday, March 23 and Thursday, March 25 the State Prosecution is due to continue presenting evidence against Zeljko Ivanovic, known as Arkan, a former member of the Second Special Police Squad from Sekovici, who is charged with genocide committed in Srebrenica.
The trial of Momir Pelemis and Slavko Peric, former members of the VRS Brigade from Zvornik, who are charged with genocide committed in Srebrenica, is due to continue on Monday, March 22. The two indictees are charged with participation in the murder of about 1,200 Bosniak men from Srebrenica on July 15 and 16, 1995, who had previously been detained in the "Kula" school building in Pilica and Pilica Center, Zvornik municipality.
Mehura Selimovic, Adil Ruznic and Emir Mustafic, former members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are due to appear before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on March 24, when the State Prosecution continues presenting evidence. The Prosecution charges them with crimes committed in the Bihac and Bosanski Petrovac area from 1994 to 1996.
Over the course of four days next week, from March 22 to March 25, the retrial is due to continue in the case of Milos Stupar, former Commander of the Second Special Police Squad from Sekovici, who is charged with participation in genocide committed in Srebrenica in July 1995. Stupar was sentenced, by a first instance verdict, to 40 years in prison.
