04 February 2010 The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepts the State Prosecution's motion and orders a three-month extension of custody of the suspect accused of crimes against Croats in Trusina.
The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rendered a decision ordering the extension of custody of Nihad Bojadzic, former Deputy Commander of the "Zulfikar" Special Purposes Squad of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, due to the possibility that he might try to flee, or seek to influence witnesses or accomplices or disturb the peace.
The Defence objected to the State Prosecution's motion, calling on the Court to pronounce prohibiting measures against Bojadzic.
Bojadzic was arrested under a warrant issued by the State Prosecution, in November 2009, on a suspicion that he participated in the attack on Trusina village in Konjic municipality.
The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina contends that the attack took place on April 16, 1993, when 19 Croat civilians and three members of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, were killed.
Mensur "Menta" Memic, Dzevad "Struja" Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Jusuf "Homeini" Hadzajlija, Nedzad Hodzic, known as John Wayne, and Zulfikar "Zuka" Alispago were arrested on suspicion that they participated in the same crime.
Edin Dzeko and Rasema "Zolja" Handanovic are reported to have been arrested in the US on suspicion that they participated in the crime committed in Trusina. The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina says that their extradition to Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected.
All the suspects were members of the "Zulfikar" Squad and the "Neretvica" 45th Mountain Brigade of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
