During the seventh meeting of the Association of Court reporters, held on November 28, 2006, reporters asked for more effective work from the Bosnian court and prosecution's press departments.

Reporters who attended the meeting said that the court press office is often late with its announcements, leading to a delay in publishing information.

Association members also noted that the legal terminology used by press department employees should be used accurately with clear terms, in order to avoid possible unintentional mistakes in further reporting.

However, the members commended the press department's report on events that took place last week, but also stressed the importance and necessity of publishing an announcement on events that are planned for the coming week, which is still not being done.

They also noted that the existing schedule is quite unreliable, with incorrect and incomplete changes, which makes the work of the court reporters more difficult.

They noted that the prosecution has still not updated its web page, which is missing the names of prosecutors and their biographies.

Reporters who attended the meeting concluded that the coordination between the court's press department and the judges is not very good, and that the press department is still not able to fully fulfil the
reporters' requests.

The meeting of Association of Court and Prosecution of BiH reporters was attended by reporters from Nezavisne novine, BH Radio 1, daily paper SAN, BIRN reporters and representative of Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

Association of Court and Prosecution of BiH reporters was founded in 2005 with the objective of better presentation of the work of court and prosecution to the local and international public. It is supported by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
